Ye Olde Castle Restaurant

Once a house, this building is now a well known, “haunted” restaurant. Each time there are any repairs, painting, renovations, the ghost of a woman dressed in blue makes her appearance. This has happened for the past twenty years. Guests and staff members have seen her.

Visitors see her through their peripheral vision as she stands staring at them but if the viewer turns and looks at her head on, she disappears, leaving her kind and motherly presence behind.

The owner believes the ghost is a friend who died of cancer and the one that taught them how to run the restaurant. It may be that this is not correct and the ghost has some tie to the restaurant when it was a house. The restaurant is at 186 W Monroe St, Burns, OR
